Congressman Taylor supports helping commercial property owners and small businesses utilize important economic tools, like the 1031 like-kind exchange, to foster economic growth invest in their communities.

Congressman Taylor understands the burden that lack of rental income has placed on landlords during the pandemic. That is why he co-sponsored HR 3913, the Rental Protection Act, to ensure that financial resources would be directed to their intended recipients and landlords would have the ability to be made whole.
Encouraging Financial Literacy
Congressman Taylor sees opportunity for first-time homebuyers to gain a greater understanding of mortgage and homeownership responsibilities while improving housing affordability. That is why he supported HR 1395, which will help first time buyers lower their FHA mortgage insurance premiums after completing an approved counseling program.
Eliminating Bureaucracy
Congressman Taylor understands the need to help streamline the homebuying process. That’s why he was the lead sponsor of HR 3008, The Homebuyer Assistance Act, which removes some of the bureaucratic requirements placed on appraisers allowing them to be state licensed for FHA-insured loans.
